Harshaw injury adds to Dromore's woes

DROMORE dominated the first half hour of this Qualifying League encounter and were 11-0 up after two Brigl penalties and a R Mackey try.

An injury to captain M Harshaw saw him leave the field with a broken nose and things got worse for Dromore as Cooke upped the pace and ran in three quick tries to hit the interval in the lead 17-12.

Dromore never recovered and although the pack pushed hard all afternoon the backs looked off their game and Cooke where creating hugh holes in the Dromore midfield and scored two further tries to wrap up the game 34-12.

Dromore have Portadown next week in another Qualifying League encounter and nothing but a win will please Coach Benade.

Meanwhile Larne Seconds saw off Dromore's second string, winning 13-3 at Barban Hill.
