Last shot win for Stubbs

There was a last shot win for Gordon and Raymond Stubbs over their Ballinderry team mates, Eddie Marsden and Paul Reid, in the Lisburn Zone open pairs final at Priesthill Methodist hall on Tuesday night.

Despite winning five of the eight ends Marsden/Reid were just level at 5-5 and the Stubbs’ brothers got the winning shot with their final bowl.

Gordon Stubbs made it a double with an 8-2 win over Dessie Hamilton, Hillsborough Social, who only lifted two singles.

Nick Haire’s mixed triple had a 7-2 win over Roy Kennedy’s three with Kennedy only managing two singles.
