Leaders Saints edge to victory over Ballylumford

St Comgall’s remain top of the Larne and District Snooker League after they recorded their eighth win of the season - a 3-2 success over Ballylumford.

C O’Toole, Anthony McCorry (22) and Gary Johnston were on target for the Saints, with P Wylie and Darren McNeil winning for the visitors.

Ballyclare sit a point behind, having played one more match, but they continued their good form with a 4-1 win over Greenbank ‘B’ in Carrick. D. Lyness, J. McKay, Darren Agnew and Tommy Balmber won for the golfers, with Stevie Nelson responding for the hosts.

Q-Club A are now up to third thanks to a 3-2 win against Ballyclare ‘B’. Lee Topping, Andy Lilly and M. Kane pocketed victories for Q-Club, with A. McIntyre and Ian Wallace winning for the hosts.

The Point have now moved above club-mates Latharna after they defeated Greenbank ‘A’ 4-1. A. McKee, G Ferguson, S. Girvan (22) and E. Carson recorded successes for the Larne men, with Davy Douglas winning for the Sunnylands side.

St John’s eased to a fine 5-0 away win at Linfield. S Guiller, Andy Reid, D Long, D Todd and Jim Parke won their frames.

Wins for Damien Steele, S Hood and C Wilson saw Q-Club ‘B’ edge to a 3-2 win over Carrick ‘B’. Harry Wade (37) and B. Hill junior won for the golfers.

Carrick ‘A’ beat Ballyclare Old Boys 3-2 with Paul Gibney, Gavin Baker (31) and S McLoughlin on target. The visitors’ frames came coutresy of S. Crymble and Declan McClean.
