In midweek, against Annadale the girls got off to a bright start and Grace Bradley got a touch on a loose ball in the circle to put the league winners ahead.

This lead didn’t last too long as the Annadale forward line caught the Bannsiders on the back foot which left the score level at half time. A different Coleraine side stepped out for the second half and took control of the game linking passes through the defence and the midfield. The forward line of Lockhard, Bradley and N Tweedie worked tirelessly creating chance after chance but the Annadale keeper was in fine form.

Not long after Kelly Watt got her name on the score sheet slotting home. Just before the final whistle Bradley got her second of the game to leave the final score 4-1 to the Coleraine Ladies.

On Saturday the girls welcomed Donaghadee to a sunny Rugby Avenue. Before the match the team received their League cup and would like to thank Liz Lamont for coming to present it. They started the match at high tempo and Siobhan McAdams in the Dee goal was under a lot of pressure. She kept her team in the game with save after save.

Coleraine continued after the break their high intensity but were caught out when a loose ball was picked up by a Dee forward who scored. Coleraine continued to attack and eventually got their just rewards when Nutt found Helen Tweedie at the back post to score. The girls won numerous short corners, but the Dee keeper was in outstanding form. With ten minutes left on the clock Zoe Adams got her name on the score sheet with a goal from close range. Coleraine wrapped things up when young Olivia Mullan deflected the ball into the net, her first for Coleraine 1st XI.

This weekend Coleraine play Galway in the Semi Final of the Irish Challenge at 2.30pm at Rugby Avenue. All support very welcome.
