Racing action this weekend in the Irish Championships
The Killinchy Club return to run the half distance round of the Jim Jones Plant Hire Irish Motocross Championships at the hillside track.
In the Premier MX1 Class, Gary Gibson leads the Championship by 10 points from Lisburn’s Richard Bird.

Hide AdLots of racing to go yet but this is the last outing before the big day at Desertmartin on 23rd June for the MAXXIS British Championship where all except Merton are entered, so bragging rights, and confidence boosts are the order of the day.
In the MX2 Class Glenn McCormick holds a slender six point lead on his Agnew Recovery/Watt KTM over 16 year old Jason Meara on the TMC Honda.
Clubman’s MX1so far has been a Jordan Blakely benefit, the Moira man winning every moto so far on the big Kwasaki. He already has a 56 point lead over Waringstown’s Chris Spratt on his similar machine, with Saintfield’s Andrew McKibben only three points behind the big Waringstown charger on his KTM.
The race for fourth is between Stephen Poots, Jonathan Martin and Daniel McFerran.
