After a couple of tough seasons the Drumahoe men will be competing in a Western League taking in teams such as Donegal, Finn Valley, Strabane, Letterkenny and Limavady.

Recruitment of additional players is underway and they have also been given the good news that club captain Andy Tate, who missed the big part of last season through injury, is back in training and raring to go.

“I can’t wait to get out on the pitch again. It was frustrating last season but I’m getting fitter and hope to lead from the front this term,” stated Tate.

Club president Gordon McSparron said: “We are really looking forward to the new season. I would extend a welcome to any new players, experienced or not, to come along to the club and sample our spirit.”

The hard work of getting fit starts on 4th August at 7pm (YMCA) and every Tuesday and Thursday but in the meantime anyone who wants to find out more about the club or join should contact Andy on 02871 301662 or [email protected].
