Two seeded pairs meet in President's Cup round four

The defending champions of the President's Prize are still marching on in the competition but they won't be playing in the tie of the fourth round.

Ken Stevenson and Jim Mallon won the competiton last year and they’re safely through to the fourth round.

The final of the fourball matchplay event will, of course, provide the highlight of Felix Duffy’s President’s Day on Saturday 3rd September.

Round Three has just been completed and that leaves eight pairings still in contention for the top prize. Among them is Ken Stevenson and Jim Mallon, who were the winners last year.

Two seeded partnerships are still there and they play each other in the quarter-final. When Kenny Arlow and Gary McCormick meet Seamus Rooney and Eugene Weir, the sparks will fly.
