West Down Ladies Zone beat South Tyrone

The West Down Ladies Zone Team deserve credit for their outstanding performance against South Tyrone on Saturday 5th December in Loughbrickland Presbyterian.

The team spirit across all six rinks was exceptional and the ladies thoroughly deserved their win.

Rink 1 M. O’Neill, M. Dawson, S.Dunn, P. Martin defeated M. Fox 18-6

Rink 2 J. Black, B. Wilson, P. Hayes, H. Stevenson defeated K. Daly 14-7

Rink 3 M. Adair, A. Magee, P. Linden, E. Robb defeated J. Mac Oscar 7-5

Rink 4 J. Donaldson, C. Wilson, V. Leckey, A. Cannaway defeated I. Eldon 9-6

Rink 5 E. Steele, A. Stevenson, L. Martin, A. Polin defeated A. McKiver 7-5

Rink 6 A. Gilliland, S. Smith, L. Aiken, B. Conlon lost to C. Campbell 5-6

The ladies are now away to Western Zone in next round of the competition on Saturday 16th January.

In the Men’s plate competition, the West Down Men’s Team will host Donegal on Saturday 12th December in Loughbrickland Presbyterian at 2pm.

The selected men will have been notified prior to publication.

Please note that a result omitted from last weeks notification of the West Down Nationals finals night was the National Pairs win for the father and son duo of Daniel and John Gilliland.
