Health project for elderly
Richmount Rural Community Association has been awarded a grant of just under £10,000 to carry out a community pharmacy project to benefit the older people in its group.
Portadown pharmacist Paula Morgan from Orchard Pharmacy will work with the Richmount Elders group. She said, “The association and I are finalising an ambitious programme for the next 12 months and we would welcome suggestions on topics relevant to the health needs of older people.
“There will also be the opportunity for individuals to discuss their own health issues in a confidential one-to-one situation.
“By working together, sharing ideas and expertise, local groups and pharmacists can complement what is already taking place.”
